How to Maximize Burn Time (up to 65hrs)
Did you know that your 9.75 oz soy candle can burn for up to 65 hours—if you treat it right? Many people don’t realize that how you burn your candle directly affects its lifespan. Everything from wick length to how long you let it burn at a time can either stretch out or shorten your candle’s life. The good news is, with just a few simple habits, you can enjoy every last hour of glow and fragrance your candle has to offer.
Our candles are made with 100% soy wax and premium fragrance oils, which burn cleaner and longer than traditional paraffin candles. While paraffin tends to burn faster and release more soot, soy wax gives you better air quality and more hours per ounce. To make the most of that, always let the wax melt to the edges of the jar before blowing it out (usually about 2–3 hours). This prevents tunneling and ensures you’re effectively using all of the wax. Also, be sure to trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each burn to avoid excessive flame and wasted wax.
To stretch your burn time as far as possible—ideally to that full 65 hours—burn your candle in 3–4 hour sessions, keep it away from fans or drafts, and allow it to fully cool and solidify between uses. With just a little care, you’ll enjoy a longer-lasting, cleaner-burning candle experience that truly outperforms paraffin-based alternatives. To protect both your surface and the glass container, stop burning your candle when about 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom. With these simple safety habits, you can enjoy the full benefits of our clean-burning soy candles—beautiful light, rich fragrance, and peace of mind.
