How to Repurpose Candle Jars

How to Repurpose Candle Jars

We worked, like, really hard on making sure every single part of our candle was absolutely gorgeous.

Lucky for you, that means the fun doesn't have to end when the wax does.

Here's an easy approach to turning your burnt-out candle into a sparklingly clean jar.

  • Wash

Because our candles are made with 100% soy wax, you'll find that the contents can be removed much more easily (than, say, paraffin wax.)

Washing your vessel with warm soapy water to remove the excess wax and wick should do the trick.

If you're repurposing a candle from another brand that's not made with 100% soy, here's another method...

what to do with old candle jars

  • Freeze

Stick your unlit candle in the freezer and leave overnight. Any left over wax should solidify and harden, making it easier to scoop out with a knife and less prone to flakes and crumbles.

  • Now, Heat

If there's still residual wax in the jar, put it in the sink and pour boiling water until it overflows. Leave for a few hours. You should come back to the rest of the wax floated and solidified at the top. Pop that off, and your jar is ready for its new life.
